FRESNO – A Fresno condominium association is alleged to have failed to repair a broken step that caused an individual to fall.

Renee Payne filed a complaint on Aug. 7 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Ranchwood Homeowners Association alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 15, 2016, Renee Payne was lawfully on defendant's Ranchwood Condominiums in Fresno when she tripped on a broken step on the stairwell, causing her to fall and sustain injuries.

The plaintiff holds Ranchwood Homeowners Association responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately inspect, maintain and make its premises reasonably safe and failed to take action to repair or warn of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory damages according to proof. She is represented by Siamak Vaziri of Vaziri Law Group APC in Los Angeles.
