FRESNO – The owners of a Fresno property are alleged to have failed to properly remove an underground storage tank.

The People of the State of California filed a complaint on Aug. 17 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Subhash K. Maden and Mulholland Land Co. citing unfair business competition and seeking injunctive relief.

According to the complaint, the defendants own a property on East Kings Canyon Road in Fresno and abandoned, closed or temporarily ceased operation of an underground storage tank without properly removing it.

The plaintiff seek to assess civil penalty of $500 to $5,000 for each day of violation of the Health & Safety Code, injunctive relief, costs of investigation, costs of suit, attorney's fees, and further relief as the court deems appropriate.
