FRESNO – Former employees of a Fresno County insurance agency allege they are owed unpaid wages.

Zulema Pena, Gloria Gonzalez, Giovanna Ibarra, Maria Rendon and Sharlean Rodriguez filed a complaint on Aug. 20, in the Fresno County Superior Court against Neri Insurance Agency Inc., Fiesta Auto Insurance, Oscar Neri and Does 1 through 100 over alleged violation of California labor codes.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that during their employment with defendants, they were not paid earned wages and overtime compensation, were not provided compensation for meal and rest breaks for breaks they did not take, or were not paid in a timely manner.

The plaintiffs hold Neri Insurance Agency Inc., Fiesta Auto Insurance, Neri and Does 1 through 100 responsible because the defendants allegedly violated California labor codes.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment for payment of all wages and statutory obligations, civil penalties, injunctive relief, prejudgment interest, attorney's fees, costs, and for such further relief as the court may deem appropriate. They are represented by Tory Erickson, Hallie Spaulding, Corey Pingle and Ashley Dalton of Lawyers for Employee and Consumer Rights in Burbank.
