LOS ANGELES – A Canadian corporation alleges more than $1 million worth of merchandise was damaged while stored at a Huntington Park warehouse.

3015327 Canada Inc., doing business as Blankets & Beyond, filed a complaint on Sept. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Sale Co Enterprises LLC, Paul J. Livadrary and Does 1-100 citing negligence, bailment and premises liability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff and Sale Co entered into a lease agreement for Sale Co to provide warehousing for plaintiff's merchandise at a Huntington Park warehouse.

The suit states in March 2017, Sale Co notified the plaintiff that a large portion of the plaintiff's merchandise had been damaged because of water that leaked from the roof during a rainstorm. The plaintiff alleges $1.3 million in merchandise was damaged.

The plaintiff holds Sale Co Enterprises LLC, Livadrary and Does 1-100 responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently maintained the facility in a manner that caused damage to its merchandise.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants for the value of the merchandise in the amount of $1.3 million, plus interest, incidental and consequential damages, costs of suit, and further relief as the court may deem proper. It is represented by Adam C. Brown of Hill Rivkins Brown & Associates PC in Fair Oaks.
