Family seeks damages from estate of allegedly intoxicated driver over collision injuries

FRESNO – A woman injured in a collision allegedly caused by an intoxicated driver is seeking damages from the driver's estate.

Elizabeth Alice Serrano, Elizabeth Leticia Serrano and Juan Serrano filed a complaint on Sept. 12 in the Fresno County Superior Court against the estate of Manuel Sanchez, Juan Dela Rosa Campos and Does 1-25 alleging loss of consortium

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Nov. 5, 2017, Elizabeth Alice Serrano sustained injuries when Sanchez drove while intoxicated and struck her vehicle near the intersection of Jenson and Chestnut avenues in Fresno.

The plaintiffs hold the estate of Manuel Sanchez, Juan Dela Rosa Campos and Does 1-25 responsible because Sanchez allegedly operated a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition with a blood alcohol content above the legal limit.

The plaintiffs seek compensatory and punitive damages according to proof. They are represented by Warren R. Paboojian of Baradat & Paboojian Inc. in Fresno.
