OROVILLE – Several individuals with interest in a property in Oroville are seeking judicial determination of the rights and interest in the property regarding its sale.

Amanda Wicklund, Matthew Wicklund, Jennifer Rothrock, et al. filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in the Butte Superior Court against Richard Ferguson and Does 1 through 10 citing partition of real property.

According to the complaint, on April 2008, in an attempt to resolve disputes between plaintiffs and defendant as to the sale of their respective interests of an undeveloped bare land in Oroville, the parties drafted and circulated to all of the parties another agreement to sell their shares in the real property. The suit states the plaintiffs have received an offer to purchase to the property and all have agreed to the offer except the defendant.

The plaintiffs allege a controversy has arisen between the parties and request a judicial determination of the rights and interest in the property.

The plaintiffs seek judgment for partition by sale of the real property, accounting between parties, costs and for such other and further relief as the court may deem proper. They are represented by Kevin J. Sweeney of Law Office of Kevin J. Sweeney in Chico.
