SAN FRANCISCO – A former security officer who was assigned to an auto rental company in San Francisco alleges his employer failed to pay minimum wages for all hours worked.

Zuberi Carr filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in the San Francisco Superior Court against U.S. Security Associates Inc. and Does 1 through 10 over alleged violation of the California Labor Code, pursuant to the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).

According to the complaint, between Sept. 17, 2017, and Jan. 19, Carr worked for defendant as a hourly paid, non-exempt security officer and typically worked eight or more hours per day, five days per week, and 40 or more hours per week.

The plaintiff holds U.S. Security Associates Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to compensate him with all required overtime pay, failed to pay a minimum wage for all hours worked, failed to provide accurate wage statements and failed to pay all earned wages upon termination.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for civil penalties, attorneys' fees of more than $25,000, pre- and post-judgment interest, and for such other and further relief as the court may deem equitable and appropriate. He is represented by Robert Drexler, Molly DeSario, Jonathan Lee and Ariel Harman-Holmes of Capstone Law APC in Los Angeles.
