Pacific Grain & Foods alleges Nature's Earthly Choice owes nearly $200,000 for lentils, lentil blends

FRESNO – A Fresno County company that trades food service industry commodities alleges it was not paid by a juice and grain company for lentils products.

Pacific Grain & Foods LLC filed a complaint on Oct. 18 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Global Juices and Fruits LLC, doing business as Nature's Earthly Choice, and Does 1-50 alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between 2014 and 2015, the defendant placed seven orders for lentils and/or lentil blends for their juices and grain food products. The plaintiff alleges it has properly packaged and shipped all of defendants' orders, but the defendants have not yet paid for the shipments or invoices despite demands.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants owe $197,131.50.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for compensatory damages in the sum of $197,131.50, prejudgment interest, attorney's fees, costs of suit and further relief as the court may deem proper.
