SAN FRANCISCO – A guest at Slim's Nightclub alleges he fractured his arm after falling down the steps at the club.

Thomas Clifford Padden filed a complaint on Oct. 31 in the San Francisco Superior Court against Big Billy Inc., Slim's Nightclub and Does 1 to 25 citing negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 2, 2016, Padden attended a concert at defendants' nightclub in San Francisco and was leaving the backstage area through a side door. He alleges he stepped onto a curtain that obscured the steps and fell, landing on his right arm and sustaining fractures. He alleges no handrail was present in violation of state building codes.

The plaintiff holds Big Billy Inc., Slim's Nightclub and Does 1 to 25 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to inspect its premises.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory damages. He is represented by William E. Weiss of Law Offices of William E. Weiss in San Francisco.
