Driver alleged to have failed to stop at red light before striking another vehicle in Fresno County

FRESNO – A passenger alleges he was injured in a collision at a Fresno County intersection caused by another driver who ran a red light.

Gregory Becerril filed a complaint on Oct. 30 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Loan Ha Canphi, Loan Thi Ha and Does 1-20 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 29, 2016, he was a passenger in a motor vehicle lawfully operated by Derrick Mendoza traveling near the intersection Bullard Avenue and Figarden in Fresno County when Canphi struck the Mendoza vehicle. The plaintiff alleges he was injured in the collision.

The plaintiff holds Canphi, Ha and Does 1-20 responsible because Canphi allegedly failed to stop at a red light and was driving at a speed greater than reasonable.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants for compensatory damages according to proof. He is represented by Jeffrey D. Bohn of Accident, Injury and Medical Malpractice Attorneys of California APC in Fresno.
