Selma cyclist seeks damages from driver over collision

FRESNO – A Selma resident is seeking damages from a Fresno County man over alleged injuries he sustained when he was struck while riding a bicycle.

Transito Garcia filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Joseph Allen Vangundy and Does 1 through 20 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 14, 2016, while Garcia was lawfully and legally operating a bicycle on or near North Street in Selma, he was struck by the defendants' motor vehicle. As a result, the plaintiff alleges he sustained bodily injury, pain and suffering and medical expenses. 

The plaintiff allege defendants negligently owned, operated, entrusted, supervised and maintained a motor vehicle that was forced to collided with the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for general damages, costs of suit, and for such other and further relief as the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Yosi Yahoudai, Jason B. Javaheri and John V. Bell of Javaheri & Yahoudai in Los Angeles.
