Contract 10

SAN FRANCISCO – The owner of a San Francisco property alleges that a contractor hired for renovation work damaged the property.

James Kelm filed a complaint on Nov. 15 in the San Francisco Superior Court against Justin Carroll, Carroll Commercial Inc. and Does 1 to 100 alleging negligence, breach of contract and breach of warranty.

According to the complaint, on June 1, 2015, Kelm entered into a written contract with defendants for a renovation project at his Diamond Street, San Francisco property. The plaintiff alleges the defendants' errors caused damages to him and the property.

The plaintiff holds Carroll, Carroll Commercial Inc. and Does 1 to 100 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to perform their obligations, services and work in accordance with generally accepted practices.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory and special damages, costs of suit, interest and such other and further relief as the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Joel L. Halverson and Adam Polakoff of Severson & Werson in San Francisco.
