Woman alleges gate at The Waterfront Restaurant fell on her, caused concussion

SAN FRANCISCO – A woman alleges a gate fell on top of her at a San Francisco restaurant and caused a concussion.

Marisa Tsikounas filed a complaint on Dec. 11 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against The Bundox Restaurant Corp. Inc., doing business as The Waterfront Restaurant, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 11, 2016, the plaintiff was on the restaurant's property and was walking toward her car after an event when a sliding gate broke down and fell on top of her. As a result, plaintiff was knocked to the ground and sustained a closed head injury with concussion, shoulder abrasion, left cervical strain and acute musculoskeletal pain.

The plaintiff holds The Bundox Restaurant Corp. Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly acted negligently with regard to the installation and/or maintenance of the gate.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant for compensatory damages according to proof. She is represented by David Nied of Ad Astra Law Group LLP in San Francisco.
