SAN FRANCISCO – A patient alleges a foreign object was left in her body after a surgery.

Alexandra Vuksich filed a complaint on Dec. 13 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Regents of the University of California, Marco Patti, MD; James Ostroff MD; and Does 1-50 alleging medical malpractice.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she presented to defendants for treatment of her medical conditions, which included a gastroesophageal fundoplication procedure. The suit states a foreign object was left in her body.

The plaintiff holds Regents of the University of California, Patti, Ostroff and Does 1-50 responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently instructed, evaluated, examined and cared for the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for general damages, restitution, special damages, interest, costs of suit, attorneys' fees, and further relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Terence A. Redmond of Law Offices of Terence A. Redmond in San Francisco.
