SAN FRANCISCO – A San Francisco business alleges an Oceanside company failed to provide it with signage that would withstand wind speeds as outlined in their contract.

Anvil Builders Inc. filed a complaint on Dec. 20 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Coastal Signage and Wayfinding Inc. and Does 1-20 alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges it and the defendant entered into a purchase order in July 2016 in which the defendant agreed to design furnish wayfinding signage and mounting hardware. The suit states Anvil agreed to pay $108,843.16.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant breached the contract by failing to properly design and furnish signage that would withstand wind speeds as outlined in the agreement. It alleges it demanded the defendant pay it $30,408 for damages and it has refused.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages in an amount no less than $30,408, plus interest, attorney's fees, costs of suit, and further relief as the court deems just. It is represented by William H. McInerney Jr. of McInerney & Dillon PC in Oakland.
