OROVILLE – A suit has been filed against two medical facilities and individuals in Butte County by a patient who alleges their negligence resulted in amputation.

Jeffrey Arterberry filed a complaint on Jan. 10 in the Butte Superior Court against Adventist Health Feather River; Feather River Health Center; Samuel Medrano, M.D.; et al. alleging medical negligence.

According to the complaint, Arterberry sought treatment from the defendants for complaints associated with right upper extremity, right and right finger pain, numbness and discoloration. He alleges the defendants failed to diagnose and treat an arterial insufficiency in his upper right extremity, which resulted in amputation on Jan. 19, 2018.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to diagnose and treat plaintiff's arterial insufficiency in his right upper extremity despite his history and complaints.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for general damages, expenses, interest, costs of suit and such other and further relief as allowed by law. He is represented by Steven H. Schultz of Schultz Redmond Law Group PC in Sacramento.
