FRESNO – A woman alleges salsa on the floor of a discount supermarket in Fresno caused her to fall.

Jova Salamanca filed a complaint on Jan. 14 in the Fresno County Superior Court against FoodMaxx alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 16, 2018, Salamanca was visiting defendant's FoodMaxx store in Fresno when she slipped on salsa that was left on the ground and was injured.

The plaintiff holds FoodMaxx responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn the public of the slipping hazard.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory damages, costs of suit and such relief as is fair, just and equitable. She is represented by Nathan S. Miller of Miller & Ayala LLP in Fresno.
