Driver seeks damages over state Route 99 rear-end collision

FRESNO – A woman is seeking damages from two individuals over a rear-end collision in Fresno.

Ana Baudelia Castro-Canchola filed a complaint on Jan. 22 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Cheryl Joann Potts, Peter Sandau and Does 1 to 25 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 23, 2017, while stopped behind congested traffic conditions on state Route 99 in Fresno, Castro-Canchola's vehicle was rear-ended by the defendants' vehicle. The plaintiff alleges her vehicle was struck with such force that it collided with the vehicle in front of her.

The plaintiff holds Potts, Sandau and Does 1 to 25 responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently owned, operated, equipped and/or drove their vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory damages, costs of suit, and such relief as is fair, just and equitable. She is represented by Timothy W. Mazzela of Law Office of Timothy W. Mazzela in Fresno.
