SAN FRANCISCO – An insurance company alleges it is entitled to recover more than $4,000 it paid to a driver for a collision in San Francisco.

State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. filed a complaint on Jan. 31 in the San Francisco Superior Court against Jose Miguel Lopez, Cascade Drilling LP and Does 1-40 seeking subrogation recovery.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff insured Los Angeles County resident John Ewing. The suit states on Oct. 24, 2018, Ewing's vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by the defendants near the intersection of Harrison and Ninth streets in San Francisco, and the plaintiff paid $4,801.07 to Ewing.
