Driver seeks damages over Highway 280 multivehicle collision

SAN FRANCISCO – A woman is seeking damages from two drivers over a collision on Highway 280.

Tanya Herrera filed a complaint on Jan. 28 in the San Francisco Superior Court against Jyoti Jinwala Talwar, Fausto Alfredo Melara, Pankaj K. Talwar and Does 1 to 30 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 1, 2017, Herrera was driving on Highway 280 northbound in the third lane when suddenly without warning, defendant Jyoti Jinwala Talwar, who was driving defendant Pankaj K. Talwar's vehicle, allegedly swerved and cut in front of her, striking her vehicle. The suit states immediately after the incident, defendant Melara's vehicle rear-ended plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff alleges Jyoti Jinwala Talwar beached his duty to owed endangering the safety of other drivers on the road and Melara allegely failed to timely stop for a traffic condition ahead.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory damages, costs of suit and for such relief as is fair, just and equitable. She is represented by Tanya Gomerman and Sandra Isabelle of Law Offices of Tanya Gomerman in San Francisco.
