FRESNO – A father and son are seeking damages from a motorist over allegations she failed to stop at a red light and caused a collision.

Abui Rosas and Yusset Rosas filed a complaint on Feb. 13 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Alice N. Halbert and Does 1-110, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on July 2, 2017, they were traveling northbound on West Avenue in Fresno when their vehicle was struck by the Halbert's vehicle at the road's intersection with Ashlan Avenue, causing injuries. The suit states Halbert failed to stop at a red light before the collision.

The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because Halbert allegedly violated California Vehicle Code section 21453.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against defendants for compensatory damages, costs of suit, and other relief as is fair and just. They are represented by Jake D. Finkel of Law Offices of Jake D. Finkel APC in Los Angeles.
