Thompson Coburn is pleased to announce that Jason Grinnell has joined the Firm as a partner in our Los Angeles office. Jason joins our nationally recognized Real Estate group. Prior to joining the Firm, he served as senior counsel at Dykema Gossett LLP.
Jason’s practice is a diverse one with years of transactional and finance experience. In the transactional sector, he handles acquisitions, dispositions and leasing across multiple asset classes, with particularly deep experience in the retail space. He represents several global clients in office and retail leasing matters. In his real estate finance practice, he advises financial institutions in construction, permanent and mezzanine debt financing. Jason also represents both financial institutions and investors in loan workouts, forbearances and other distressed debt transactions. He also has strong ties to the Los Angeles private equity market and has assisted his private equity clients in their real estate needs.
Jason's practice includes a special emphasis on renewable energy project finance, including solar projects and wind farms.
A recognized leader in California real estate law, Jason was selected to the California Lawyers Association Real Estate Executive Committee and is a member of Law360 Real Estate Editorial Advisory Board.
Jason received his J.D. from the University Oregon School of Law. He received his B.A. at Dartmouth College.
