GREENBERG TRAURIG: Greenberg Traurig is Finalist for 6 Diversity & Inclusion Awards from Chambers and Partners

Greenberg Traurig LLP issued the following announcement on May 22.

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP and four of its attorneys are finalists for Chambers 2019 Diversity & Inclusion Awards from Chambers and Partners. The firm is a finalist for Most Inclusive Firm for LGBT+ Lawyers and Pro Bono Program of the Year. Winners will be announced at the Diversity & Inclusions Awards Ceremony, June 6, in San Francisco.

Firm CEO Brian L. Duffy is a finalist for the Outstanding Ally Award. Greenberg Traurig’s Co-President Ernest LaMont Greer is among the finalists for the Outstanding Contribution to Furthering the Advancement of Diversity in the Legal Profession. Greenberg Traurig Shareholder John R. Richards is shortlisted for LGBT+ Equality Lawyer of the Year and Greenberg Traurig Associate Niyala Harrison is a finalist for the Future Leader Award (Minority Lawyers Category). As part of the program, Greenberg Traurig is supporting the nomination of Brad Lerman, Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary for Medtronic, who is a finalist for the Outstanding Ally Award (In-House Category).

The finalist honors are a nod to Greenberg Traurig’s record regarding diversity and inclusion and specifically its role as an active and passionate LGBTQ+ inclusive firm. Greenberg Traurig is active in social causes, case matters, and other actions that strengthen protections for the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, they celebrate the significant depth and success of the Greenberg Traurig Pro Bono Program. The program addresses issues concerning human rights, gender/LGBTQI-based violence, anti-trafficking, educational rights of children, immigration, and children’s rights.
