GREENBERG TRAURIG: Greenberg Traurig’s Sacramento Office Promotes and Expands Within Litigation Department

Greenberg Traurig, P.A. issued the following announcement on July 11.

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP elevated litigator Deepi K. Miller to of counsel in its Sacramento office and also expanded the office with the addition of Litigation associate Lupe R. Laguna and Labor & Employment associate Yoon-Woo Nam. Laguna joined the firm from O'Melveny & Myers LLP and Nam joined the firm from Dannis Woliver Kelley.

Miller is a regulatory attorney and business litigator who represents clients in all phases of regulatory enforcement litigation, regulatory compliance, and commercial litigation. Miller defends and counsels clients in consumer product matters including California’s Proposition 65 and other California-specific consumer safety regulations. She also litigates business tort issues, professional liability claims, bankruptcy estate disputes, and real estate development matters. Miller represents clients in state, federal and bankruptcy courts, as well as in mediation, arbitration, and multidistrict litigation. She received her J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and her B.A. from University of California at San Diego.

Laguna represents clients in a wide variety of complex litigation involving business disputes, consumer class actions, and sensitive government investigations. Prior to his legal career, Laguna served four years in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantryman, reaching the rank of Sergeant. During his service, Laguna did two deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Sonoma State University.

Nam focuses his practice on labor & employment and commercial litigation. He represents employers in wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, and whistleblower claims in state and federal court as well as before state and federal administrative agencies. He earned his J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and his B.A. from University of California in Santa Barbara.
