BAKER & HOSTETLER: Webinar: COVID-19 Pandemic: Antitrust Risks and Possible Protection Under the Defense Production Act and State Action Immunity Doctrine

Covid1280

Baker and Hostetler recently issued the following announcement.

The COVID-19 crisis can entangle businesses in increased antitrust risk as they struggle to continue operations and produce and supply goods and services essential to combating the pandemic and keeping Americans safe. As a result, federal and state authorities are paying close attention to those business practices in the face of the historic pandemic.

This webinar, presented by BakerHostetler’s Antitrust and Competition Team, will examine those criminal and civil antitrust risks and the best practices businesses should follow to protect themselves, including an exploration of the immunities offered by the Defense Production Act, the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act and the state action immunity doctrine. The DOJ/FTC expedited review process will also be discussed.

Our presenters include highly experienced antitrust lawyers, including former prosecutors from both the DOJ Antitrust Division and the FTC Bureau of Competition as well as the General Counsel for the Consumer Brands Association and the Deputy Attorney General for the Florida Attorney General’s Office.
