Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP issued the following announcement on Oct. 7.

Wynter Deagle, Troutman Pepper’s San Diego office managing partner and experienced litigator, has been recognized as a “California Trailblazer” by The Recorder and is featured in a special edition of the publication. Those recognized as Trailblazers are agents of change who have “made significant marks on the practice, policy and technological advancements in their sector.”

“It is an honor to be recognized as a California Trailblazer,” Deagle said. “The legal industry is always evolving, and I am very grateful to be recognized alongside such an innovative group of individuals.”

Deagle represents companies in the court room when they face new and unsettled issues found at the intersection of law, technology, and innovation. She specializes in defending clients from privacy and cybersecurity-related consumer class actions, business disputes, regulatory investigations, and enforcement actions. In addition to her privacy and cybersecurity expertise, Deagle represents clients in complex commercial litigation involving many types of claims, including business fraud, unfair competition, products liability, defamation, breaches of fiduciary duty and contract disputes. Deagle also helps clients proactively assess and manage risks associated with their privacy, data security, and information management practices, guiding them through the complicated terrain of data breach incident response, privacy litigation, class actions and regulatory investigations and enforcement

Outside her legal practice, Deagle is passionate advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in the legal community. She is a member of Troutman’s diversity committee and founded the San Diego office’s diverse attorney recruiting program. Deagle also provides pro bono services to organizations that advance and empower under-served women and girls. She is also the President of the Board of Directors of Girls Inc. of San Diego County.
