Global law firm, Greenberg Traurig, LLP participated in Law Rocks-apalooza, the first-ever virtual concert hosted by Law Rocks on Dec. 10, 2020. Law Rocks promotes music education for underprivileged youth and raises money for nonprofit organizations.
Greenberg Traurig’s two house bands, The Meltones and The Latent Defects played in support of The Veterans Consortium (TVC) Pro Bono Program, the leading national charity providing free legal services in federal venues for veterans in need. Greenberg Traurig has a deep relationship with TVC and works with the organization across multiple firm offices.
With Greenberg Traurig’s support, The Meltones and The Latent Defects raised nearly $30,000 in donations for TVC and Law Rocks. Greenberg Traurig was among the top three fundraisers out of 18 bands. The Meltones and The Latent Defects were introduced by Greenberg Traurig Washington, D.C. shareholders and veterans, Joe R. Reeder, Former Undersecretary of the Army (1993-97) and Jennifer S. Zucker, Colonel, U.S. Army Reserve.
The Meltones, named after a firm founder, Mel Greenberg, has been the Greenberg Traurig “house band” since the mid-1980s. The Meltones include:
