Wolf Haldenstein Partner Rachele R. Byrd was appointed as an executive committee member in the consolidated consumer class action against Zoom Video Communications, Inc. alleging contract, tort, statutory and consumer protection claims. It is alleged that Zoom shared unauthorized data, failed to prevent meeting disruptions by third-parties called “Zoombombings,” and misrepresented its encryption protocols, injuring consumers. The litigation seeks to recover damages for those injured as a result of these failures. The litigation is currently pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California before the Hon. Lucy H. Koh.
