Anthony Guzman Nominated to Bar Association of San Francisco Barristers Board of Directors

Greenberg Traurig LLP issued the following announcement on Oct. 20.

Anthony E. Guzman, II, an associate in the San Francisco office's Labor & Employment Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been nominated to the Board of Directors for the Bar Association of San Francisco’s (BASF) Barristers Club. Once confirmed, he would serve a three-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2022.

According to its website, BASF’s Barristers Club provides a community for its members, which include attorneys, law students, and others in their first ten years of practice. The organization helps members develop the skills they need for a successful career.

“I’m thrilled at the chance of joining the board of the BASF Barristers Club,” Guzman said. “It’s really a great opportunity to give back. I look forward to helping newer members of the bar feel at home in the legal community while honing the skills necessary to the future of their careers and clients.”

Guzman represents employers in the defense of complex wage and hour class and collective actions, including those involving claims under California’s Private Attorneys General Act. Guzman also has notable experience in representing employers in sexual harassment, pay disparity, and traditional labor disputes. He is a regular author and contributor to legal news outlets like Law 360 and The Recorder and serves as one of the coaches for the U.C. Berkeley School of Law trial teams.
