Hotel sued when woman steps on skateboard, falls

SAN FRANCISCO - A woman is suing a hotel after allegedly falling and becoming injured.

Han Fong Wong filed a lawsuit on Dec. 21 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Justice Investors and Does 1-10 for negligence, premises liability and Elder Physical Abuse. 

According to the lawsuit, on June 10, 2021, Wong, an 80-year-old woman, checked into defendant's hotel, the Hilton Financial District in San Francisco, with her husband as part of a family conference. On June 12, 2021, Wong was attempting to get off an elevator to retrieve her personal belongings from her room when a man pushed a skateboard in front of her, which she stepped on, and fell.

Wong was caused to suffer physical and psychological injuries, emotional distress, damages of past and future medical and treatment costs, pain and suffering, loss of earnings and earning capacity, the suit claims.

Wong seeks a judgment for compensation for her damages mentioned above, attorney's fees, costs and other expenses incurred in the litigation. Wong is represented by Stanley Shen of Shen Law Firm.
