Geonetta and Frucht faces pro se legal malpractice lawsuit that seeks $1 million

SAN FRANCISCO - A man is suing his former attorneys for allegedly being incompetent in the handling of a legal case.

Marion Merriouns filed a lawsuit on Dec. 22 in San Francisco Superior Court against Geonetta and Frucht, LLP.

According to the lawsuit, In May 2017, Defendant provided legal services for Merriouns and Sandy Mummons in a wrongful termination case against the San Francisco Assessor Recorder Office. Merriouns has brought forth this action due to claims that Defendant failed to act with the degree of competence generally possessed by attorneys in handling the legal matter, the suit said. 

Merriouns says the firm failed to file some of his claims in a timely manner and others before the proper agency.

Merriouns seeks $1 million. Merriouns is representing himself.
