McGuireWoods partners Sabrina A. Beldner, Meghaan C. Madriz, Bruce M. Steen and Jacquelyn E. Stone have again been recognized among Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Corporate Employment Lawyers of America, an annual guide honoring top advisers to businesses, universities, nonprofits and other organizations in global labor and employment matters.
Beldner has been named to the list for four consecutive years. Madriz, Steen and Stone are honored for the third year in a row.
Beldner chairs McGuireWoods’ Labor & Employment Department. Based in the firm’s Century City office, she represents clients in employment-related individual, class, representative and collective action claims and traditional labor matters. She also counsels clients in traditional labor matters and conducts high-level employee misconduct investigations and management training on employment-related issues.
Madriz, based in Houston, advises clients on labor and employment law matters, including wage-and-hour disputes, internal investigations, class and collective actions, and discrimination claims. She also handles unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets litigation and works on transactional matters advising clients on employment agreements, restrictive covenants and employment law practices.
Steen is McGuireWoods’ general counsel and former chair of the Labor & Employment Department. Based in Charlotte, he has experience litigating collective and class action claims and defending clients against employee claims asserting wrongful termination, breach of contract, unlawful harassment, discrimination and retaliation. He also has represented ERISA welfare and pension benefits plans in single and multiplaintiff benefits disputes.
Stone, a Richmond partner in the Securities & Capital Markets Department, assists companies in immigration-related matters, including employment-based visas for employees of multinational companies, engineers, physicians, lawyers, architects, teachers, professors and research scientists. She also helps foreign companies and organizations establish U.S. operations and coordinate the transfer of key executives.
