Politico spoke to Shook Partner Ryan Sandrock about what is next in antitrust. According to Politico, the White House is set to accelerate several of its biggest antitrust fights in 2024 with an intense lineup of lawsuits and investigations.
“I think we’re going to see more new actions in terms of investigations and litigation than any prior year during the administration,” said Sandrock. “The volume of antitrust activity is higher than at any point since I started practicing in 2003.”
Sandrock joined Shook in 2022 and is a co-chair of Shook’s Antitrust Practice. He previously served at the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ). Sandrock represents clients before federal, state and international competition agencies, including the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general. Shook’s Antitrust team includes Co-Chair and Partner Lynn Murray, Senior Counsel Elliott Davis and Associate Michelle Lee.
