Staffing firm Forest & Einstein is facing a class action lawsuit for alleged violations of California labor law.

The plaintiff, Keisha Garrett, filed the case on behalf of herself and all other allegedly similarly situated current and former employees. The allegations include unfair competition, failure to pay minimum wages, overtime wages, provide required meal periods, rest periods, reimburse employees for required expenses, provide accurate itemized statements, and provide wages when due.

The lawsuit was filed in San Francisco County Superior Court on Jan. 12.

According to the complaint, Garrett worked for the defendant from October 2020 to August 2023. She alleges that the company's unlawful policies have resulted in economic injury to her and other members of the California class.

The plaintiffs are represented by attorneys Jean-Claude Lapuyade, Sydney Castillo-Johnson, Perssia Razma from JCL Law Firm APC and Shani O. Zakay from Zakay Law Group APLC.
