William Corvino sues Take Two Digital Limited for violations of California restrictions on unsolicited commercial email

William Corvino, Michael Babich, Sierra Jarrell, Shannon Jarrell, and Ty Granados have filed a lawsuit against Take Two Digital Limited and Does 1-10 in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara. The case number is 24CV434924 and was e-filed on April 9, 2024. The plaintiffs accuse the defendants of violations of California restrictions on unsolicited commercial email.

The plaintiffs are represented by Timothy Walton and Jim Twu from Walton Twu LLP and Jacob Harker from Law Offices of Jacob Harker. They allege that Take Two Digital Limited has sent over 8,346 unlawful unsolicited commercial emails (spams) violating Section 17529.5 of the California Business & Professions Code. These emails advertised meet-n-hook.com, a website believed to be owned and operated by Take Two.

The plaintiffs seek statutory damages, equitable relief, attorneys’ fees and costs pursuant to statute for these alleged violations. They claim they did not give consent to receive these commercial emails.
