Troutman Pepper has been awarded the Best Professional Development Initiative at the 2024 American Lawyer Industry Awards for its Client Development and Executive Leadership Program (CDEL). This award honors an organization that has defined and executed on an initiative or overall mission that supports, enhances, and systematizes the professional development of its members.
The CDEL program is an intensive, nine-month initiative that brings together a diverse group of partners for comprehensive training and personalized coaching. The program focuses on enhancing client relationships, expanding business opportunities, and developing effective teams. It has also laid the groundwork for several other professional development initiatives at the firm, including advanced programs for CDEL alumni, new partner and practice group-specific training, and the “Business Development Blueprint” series for attorneys at all levels.
The CDEL program is led by senior counsel Nina Gussack and coaches Daniel Pulka, Patricia Ellard, Erin Murphy, and Linda Sanders from the marketing, business development, and client experience department.
The American Lawyer Industry Awards honor the most exceptional lawyers, law firms, legal departments, and organizations in the country. The winners were recognized at an awards reception on Nov. 13.
