A class action lawsuit has been filed against a major security services company, alleging multiple violations of California labor laws. The complaint was lodged by Cyphreno Robertson in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, on December 27, 2024, targeting Paragon Systems, Inc., Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services, Inc., and Parasys, Inc.

Cyphreno Robertson, a former employee of the defendants from April 2022 to April 2023, claims that these companies systematically failed to pay minimum and overtime wages as required by California law. According to the complaint, Robertson and other similarly situated employees were denied compensation for all hours worked and were not provided with legally mandated meal and rest periods. "Defendants have obtained valuable property, money and services from Plaintiff," the complaint states, emphasizing the alleged unfair business practices that deprived employees of their rightful earnings.

The allegations extend to failure in providing accurate wage statements and timely payment of final wages upon termination. Robertson argues that these actions constitute violations under various sections of the California Labor Code and Business & Professions Code. The lawsuit highlights specific infractions such as failure to pay straight time wages (Cal. Lab. Code §§ 204), overtime wages (Cal. Lab. Code §§ 1194), failure to provide meal periods (Cal. Lab. Code § 226.7), among others.

Robertson seeks a jury trial and demands several forms of relief from the court including unpaid wages with interest, statutory penalties for wage statement inaccuracies, liquidated damages for minimum wage violations, reimbursement for necessary expenditures incurred during employment, as well as attorneys' fees and costs associated with the litigation process.

Representing Robertson is attorney John G. Yslas from Wilshire Law Firm based in Los Angeles. The case is presided over by Judge C. Roman under Case No.: 24CV455134.
