Jennifer Boyer, a former employee of a prominent infrastructure software company, has filed a lawsuit alleging severe workplace misconduct and retaliation. On January 16, 2025, Boyer filed her complaint in the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco against Banyan Infrastructure Corporation. The allegations include sex and gender-based harassment, retaliation, failure to prevent discrimination, violation of the California Equal Pay Act, wrongful constructive termination, and unlawful business practices.

Boyer's complaint outlines a troubling series of events that began shortly after she joined Banyan Infrastructure as a Senior Enterprise Account Executive on November 13, 2023. According to the filing, Boyer was subjected to inappropriate behavior by her then-manager Geoff Rodgers during her interview process and throughout her employment. The complaint details instances where Rodgers allegedly made unwelcome comments about his dating life and engaged in lewd behavior such as "body scanning" Boyer during office interactions.

Despite reporting Rodgers' conduct to Banyan's COO Amanda Li and Vice President of People Jennifer Druskin in early January 2024, Boyer claims that the company's response was inadequate. Although an investigation led to Rodgers' termination on January 12, 2024, Boyer alleges that she faced retaliatory actions from her new manager John Enns. The complaint states that Enns openly expressed hostility towards Boyer for reporting Rodgers' behavior and took adverse actions that ultimately led to her constructive termination on July 23, 2024.

In addition to harassment and retaliation claims under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), Boyer's lawsuit accuses Banyan Infrastructure of violating the California Equal Pay Act by paying her less than male colleagues for similar work. She also asserts that the company engaged in unlawful business practices by withholding wages owed to her.

Boyer seeks various forms of relief from the court including general and special damages for lost earnings and emotional distress, statutory penalties, punitive damages for intentional misconduct by Banyan Infrastructure Corporation, pre- and post-judgment interest on monetary damages awarded at trial along with injunctive relief where appropriate. Furthermore she requests reasonable attorneys’ fees incurred while prosecuting these claims against Banyan under FEHA provisions as well as costs associated with expert witnesses required during litigation proceedings.

Representing Jennifer Boyer are attorneys Elliot J. Siegel and Victor Ujkic from King & Siegel LLP. The case is being presided over by Judge Sahar Enayati under Case ID CGC-25-621481.
