Yun Peng has taken legal action against a major technology company, alleging severe misconduct and violations of both state and federal laws. The complaint was filed by Yun Peng in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Francisco on January 21, 2025, naming Apple Inc. as the defendant.

The lawsuit outlines a series of grievances that Yun Peng claims to have suffered at the hands of Apple Inc., including breach of contract, defamation, discrimination, and violations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). According to the complaint, these actions resulted in significant economic losses and emotional distress for Peng. The plaintiff asserts that Apple's failure to fulfill a compensation promise made after service issues in China is just one aspect of their alleged wrongdoing. This promise was supposedly confirmed by Apple's representative Dayse Espindola on May 23, 2024, but remained unfulfilled despite multiple follow-up attempts by Peng.

Central to the case are two incidents at an Apple Store in Union Square, San Francisco. On July 27 and July 31, 2024, Peng visited the store with legitimate intentions but was allegedly subjected to unfounded accusations and public humiliation by store staff. These encounters reportedly led to police involvement without any attempt at resolution or de-escalation from Apple’s side. As a result of these events, Peng claims to have suffered severe mental health deterioration, culminating in a diagnosis of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) on September 23, 2024.

Peng's complaint accuses Apple Inc. of failing to provide reasonable accommodations as required under ADA guidelines and engaging in discriminatory practices contrary to California's Unruh Civil Rights Act. The plaintiff further alleges defamation due to false accusations made publicly within the store environment that damaged their reputation and caused emotional harm.

In seeking justice from the court, Yun Peng demands compensatory damages for economic losses incurred due to Apple's alleged breach of contract and unfair business practices. Additionally, they seek injunctive relief mandating changes in Apple's policies regarding disability accommodations and anti-discrimination measures. The plaintiff also requests punitive damages as a deterrent against future misconduct by Apple Inc.

Representing themselves "in pro per," Yun Peng stands before Judge [Name Not Provided] under Case ID CGC-25-621612 in this high-stakes legal battle against one of Silicon Valley's giants.
