Troutman Pepper Locke Receives Three ‘Deal of the Year’ M&A Atlas Awards

Troutman Pepper Locke was recognized with three ‘Deal of the Year’ M&A Atlas Awards from the Global M&A Network in the Private Equity, Canada M&A, and Americas Strategic M&A categories. The firm was also recognized as an ‘Outstanding M&A Law Firm.’ Global M&A Network recognized the achievements of Troutman Pepper Locke and fellow honorees during the 16th Annual Americas and Global Markets M&A Atlas Awards celebrations.

Private Equity Deal of the Year (By Size)

Troutman Pepper Locke was awarded Private Equity Deal of the Year for counseling Southfield Capital, a premier lower middle market private equity firm, in its partnership with Business Development Resources, Inc., a leading business coaching and training organization to field services contractors and distributors. The multidisciplinary Troutman Pepper Locke team that advised Southfield Capital included Nick Stawasz, Matt Greenberg, Taylor Bartholomew, Reid Oetting, Monica Vu, Mike Swallow, Joe Cataldo, Howard Goldberg, Tricia McNeill, and Brad Boericke.

Canada M&A Deal of the Year (By Size)

The firm was recognized for its role as U.S. legal advisor in Aeterna Zentaris’ merger with Ceapro Inc. The two innovative biopharmaceutical development companies announced the successful completion and closing of their all-stock merger of equals transaction in June 2024. The deal team was led by Joe DeMedeiros and included Brandon Curtin, Bryan Boccelli, Chris Flanagan, Elizabeth Mack, and Lori Basilico.
