The tragic and violent death of a tech mogul has led to a complex legal battle involving multiple defendants accused of various wrongdoings. On March 28, 2025, the Estate of Robert Harold Lee, represented by Timothy Oliver Lee, filed a complaint in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Francisco against Nima Momeni and several others. The lawsuit alleges negligence, wrongful death, aiding and abetting, conspiracy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy following the brutal murder of Bob Lee on April 4, 2023.

According to the complaint, Bob Lee was fatally stabbed by Nima Momeni near the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge after attending a party where drugs and alcohol were consumed. The plaintiffs allege that Momeni attacked Lee following an argument over events at the party involving Momeni's sister Khazar. The complaint details how Bob Lee was left bleeding on the street after being stabbed multiple times with a kitchen knife allegedly taken from Khazar Momeni's apartment. Despite his injuries, Bob managed to call 911 but succumbed to his wounds later that morning.

The plaintiffs accuse Nima Momeni not only of murdering Bob Lee but also implicate other defendants including Khazar Momeni and Dino Elyassnia in efforts to conceal evidence and mislead law enforcement. The lawsuit claims these individuals aided Nima Momeni by hiding his vehicle and attempting to destroy digital evidence related to the crime. Furthermore, security footage showing Bob Lee's final moments was allegedly released without consent by entities such as Securitas Security Services USA Inc., adding an invasion of privacy claim to the suit.

The plaintiffs are seeking various forms of relief from the court including general damages for loss of companionship and emotional distress suffered by Bob Lee’s children Dagny and Scout. They also seek special damages for financial losses incurred due to their father's untimely death. Additionally, punitive damages are requested against certain defendants for their alleged malicious conduct in connection with both the murder itself and subsequent attempts at covering it up.

Representing the plaintiffs are attorneys Olivier Alain Taillieu and Elizabeth A. Hernandez from BD&J P.C., alongside Alan S. Gutman from Gutman Law. The case is being heard under Case ID CGC-25-623810 in front of judges at the Superior Court in San Francisco.
