A prominent figure in the Silicon Valley investment community has found himself embroiled in a legal battle over allegations of defamation. On April 2, 2025, Miao Hong filed a complaint in the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco, against an unknown individual referred to as Jane Doe. The lawsuit accuses Doe of publishing false and defamatory statements about Hong on multiple websites.

Miao Hong, the managing partner of Silicon Valley Future Capital, claims that in September 2024, Jane Doe published several posts online under pseudonyms such as "helenOO0O" and "tmd_life," accusing him of sexual misconduct. These posts allegedly contained fabricated stories asserting that Hong demanded sexual favors from female entrepreneurs in exchange for business support and resources. According to the complaint, these statements are entirely false and have caused significant harm to Hong's reputation and business opportunities.

The lawsuit outlines that Jane Doe published these defamatory statements knowing they were false, with the intent to damage Hong's reputation within the Silicon Valley business community. The complaint highlights specific instances where Doe described interactions with Hong that never occurred, including a detailed narrative about a supposed Thanksgiving night encounter which Hong categorically denies ever happened.

Hong is seeking compensatory damages exceeding $35,000 for loss of business opportunities and emotional distress caused by the alleged defamation. Additionally, he requests exemplary damages under Civil Code §3294 due to the malicious nature of the publications. The lawsuit also seeks an order requiring Jane Doe to remove all defamatory content from any platform where it was posted.

Representing Miao Hong in this case are attorneys Karl S. Kronenberger, Jeffrey M. Rosenfeld, and Leah Rosa Vulié from Kronenberger Rosenfeld LLP. The case is filed under Case No. CGC-25-623908 at the Superior Court of California in San Francisco County.
