Foley & Lardner LLP partner Judith Waltz has been appointed as a leader of the American Bar Association’s Health Law Section.
ABA Health Law Section Leadership appointments are a recognition of one’s abilities, dedication, and commitment to the section. Waltz will serve as Chair of Payment & Reimbursement for the 2025-2026 Bar Year.
Waltz, chair of Foley’s national Health Care Practice and co-chair of the firm’s Providers of Health Care Services team, focuses her practice on government investigations, false claims acts, corporate integrity agreements, reimbursement strategies, bankruptcy, Medicare and Medicaid compliance counseling, and Medicare/Medicaid overpayments and enrollment disputes.
Heavily engaged in the health care law community, Waltz previously served as an ABA Health Law Section Leader for the 2024-25 Bar Year. She has also served as both chair and vice chair of the Regulation, Accreditation, and Payment Practice Group of the American Health Lawyers Association and is a member of several California and national health care law organizations.
Waltz appointment follows the recent recognition from ABA’s Health Law Section of Foley senior counsel Charles Gass as an Emerging Leader in Health Care.
