Angela Yang, an 82-year-old woman, has filed a lawsuit against a San Francisco resident following a vicious dog attack that left her with severe injuries and emotional trauma. The complaint was filed by Angela Yang on April 24, 2025, in the Superior Court of California for the City and County of San Francisco against Danielle J. Bradley, also known as Josephine Danielle Bradley.

The case stems from an incident on May 24, 2024, when Angela Yang was bitten by a dog owned by Danielle J. Bradley while she was in a public area near Lake Merced in San Francisco. According to the complaint, the dog was not muzzled or properly restrained at the time of the attack. The document states that "without warning, the dog jumped at Plaintiff, attacked, and bit Plaintiff," leaving her with serious injuries requiring medical attention. Despite Angela's calls for help and confrontation with Bradley about the incident, Bradley allegedly denied responsibility and walked away without offering assistance.

Angela Yang's lawsuit accuses Danielle J. Bradley of strict liability under California law for owning a dangerous animal that caused injury. Additionally, she claims negligence and negligence per se due to Bradley's failure to control her pet as required by local ordinances such as Section 41.12(a) of the San Francisco Health Code which mandates dogs be under restraint when off their owner's premises. The plaintiff further alleges intentional infliction of emotional distress given that Bradley knew about her dog's aggressive tendencies but failed to take necessary precautions.

In her prayer for relief, Angela Yang seeks general damages according to proof for all three causes of action—strict liability (dog bite), negligence/negligence per se, and intentional infliction of emotional distress—as well as special and consequential damages. She is also asking for punitive damages sufficient to deter similar conduct in future cases along with prejudgment interest and coverage for legal costs incurred during this litigation process.

Representing Angela Yang is Lawrence Mann from the Law Offices of Lawrence Mann based in San Francisco. The case has been assigned Case No.: CGC-25-624762 in the Superior Court of California for San Francisco County where it awaits further proceedings before an unnamed judge.
