A water purification system distribution company is facing a class action lawsuit over alleged labor violations. Angelique Salazar filed the complaint on May 7, 2025, in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, against Rayne Dealership Corporation.

The lawsuit accuses Rayne Dealership Corporation of multiple violations of the California Labor Code and Business and Professions Code. According to the complaint, Salazar, who worked as an Office Manager since 2006 in San Jose, claims that she and other non-exempt employees were not paid all overtime wages due to incorrect calculations of their "regular rate of pay." The complaint also alleges that the company failed to provide proper meal and rest periods, accurate wage statements, and reimbursement for necessary business expenses. Furthermore, it is claimed that Rayne Dealership Corporation did not pay sick time at the correct legal rate. The plaintiff argues that these practices are unlawful under various sections of the California Labor Code including §§ 204, 210, 226(a), 246(a), and others.

Salazar seeks relief on behalf of herself and other similarly situated employees who have worked for Rayne Dealership Corporation in California over the past four years. The lawsuit demands compensatory damages for unpaid wages and penalties as well as restitution for unfair competition practices under Business and Professions Code § 17200 et seq. The plaintiff is also seeking class certification for all affected employees to ensure collective redress.

The case is being handled by attorneys Joshua S. Falakassa from Falakassa Law P.C., and Mehrdad Bokhour from Bokhour Law Group P.C., both based in Los Angeles. It has been assigned Case No.: 25CV465402 in the Superior Court of California for the County of Santa Clara.
