SAN FRANCISCO – A Pennsylvania man is suing a satellite television provider over claims of patent infringement.
William Grecia filed a complaint Feb. 3 in the U.S. District Court Northern District of California against DISH Network LLC, citing willful patent infringement.
According to the complaint, Grecia alleges that on Jan. 20, he sent a detailed analysis to DISH Network stating how DISH Anywhere infringes Patent '308, which he owns. The plaintiff holds DISH Network LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly refused to take a license and willfully and continues to infringing the patent owned by the plaintiff.
The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for treble damages and reasonable royalty, pre- and post-judgment interest and any other relief the court deems just and proper. He is represented by Todd C. Atkins, Matthew M. Wawrzyn, and Stephen C. Jarvis of Siprut PC in Carlsbad.
