SACRAMENTO – A former Orangevale business owner is facing allegations from the government that he owes unpaid taxes.
The United States of America filed a complaint on March 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Daniel L. Kidwell, alleging that the individual unlawfully failed to pay employment taxes.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Kidwell operated an automotive repair and glass installation business in Orangevale from 1988 to 2005, and that he failed to file quarterly taxes from 2001 to 2004. The suit states Kidwell failed and refused to pay his taxes despite of notices and demands from the plaintiff.
The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for all damages amounting to $94,045.33 plus interest, legal fees and any other relief the court deems just and proper.
