Zoove Inc. accused of wrongfully terminating lease with mobile company

Contractbreach

SAN FRANCISCO – An Arkansas-based mobile consent management and messaging service company is suing the Campbell owners of the StarStar dial code registry and an Akron, Ohio company over allegations they wrongfully tried to terminate a lease.

Sumotext Corp. filed a complaint on March 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Zoove Inc., doing business as StarStar Mobile, and Virtual Hold Technology LLC, citing breach of contract, fraud, unfair competition and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business as a result of its agreement being terminated by the defendants, effective April 1. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to honor their contractual agreement by denying plaintiff benefits in accordance to the agreement, and threatening to entirely terminate the contract with plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for all damages, injunction against the defendants, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just and proper. It is represented by Renee B. Bea, Adam S. Cashman and Katie K. Erno of Singer/Bea LLP in San Francisco.
