Former Aero Automatic Sprinkler employee alleges he wasn't paid overtime

Law money 03

SAN FRANCISCO – A sprinkler fitter is suing his former employer over allegations he wasn't paid overtime wages.

John Hurtado filed a complaint individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated on March 29 in the U.S. District Court Northern District of California against Aero Automatic Sprinkler Co. and Does 1 through 10, citing violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours but received no overtime pay, no meal or rest breaks, and sometimes had to deal with inaccurate wage statements throughout his employment. The plaintiff holds Aero Automatic Sprinkler Co. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly had knowledge of how many hours their employees were working per day but failed and refused to properly compensate them by paying overtime premium, adequate breaks, and by paying their employees in a timely and accurate manner.

The plaintiff seeks a trial by jury, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just and proper. He is represented by Joseph W. Rose and Lisa L. Bradner of Rose Law APC in Gold River.
