Samsung Electronics Co. allegedly to have infringed patents

SAN FRANCISCO – A consumer products manufacturer has accused another of patent infringement in the use of its mobile devices.

Huawei Technologies Co. LTD, Huawei Device USA Inc. and Huawei Technologies USA Inc. filed a complaint on May 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Samsung Electronics Co. LTD, Samsung Electronics America Inc., and Samsung Research America citing alleged patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages to their business as a result of their patented technology being utilized without their knowledge in the defendants' mobile devices.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek declare that the defendant infringed plaintiff's patents, award damages plus interest, award an ongoing royalty, all damages including increased damages up to three times the compensatory damages found, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just.
